민주평통 토론토협의회 – 캐나다한인여성회(KCWA)에 쌀 18포 전달

민주평화통일 자문회의 토론토협의회는 5월 6일 오후 캐나다한인여성회(KCWA)를 방문하여 18포를 전달했다.  김은주 사무장은 “민주평통 토론토협의회의 온정에 감사하며 2주 단위로 기부 물품을 모아서 특별히 가정폭력으로 고통받고있는 동포들에게 전달하겠다”고 밝혔다.

 

민주평통 토론토협의회 Raymond Cho 장관에게 마스크 전달

민주평화통일자문회의 토론토협의회는 5월 1일 오후 온타리오 주정부 Raymond Cho 노인복지부 장관을 통해 현지 요양원을 위한 보건용 마스크 2,000장을 기증했다.
민주평통 토론토협의회는 지난 3월 한국이 코로나 사태로 어려울때 모금운동을 하여 대한적십자사에 보냈고 이번엔 “신종 코로나19 감염증 위기속에 고생하고 있는 토론토의 장기 요양원을 돕기 위해 마스크를 기증하게 됐다”고 전했다.
마스크는 민주평통 토론토협의회 김연수 회장과 임방식 수석부회장, 정재열 간사 등이 함께 조 장관의 스카브로 지역구 사무실을 방문해 마이클 토마스 수석 보좌관에게  전달했다.
한편 이날 전달된 마스크는 토론토 지역의 요양원과 여러 종교기관에 나누어 전달될 예정이다.

One Mask At A Time

In support of the Chinese Cultural Centre’s “One Mask At A Time” fundraising campaign, to purchase masks for free distribution to seniors in our community, CMC has made a donation of funds to purchase 3850 masks for the seniors in this campaign. CMC Past President Jae Chong with Kristin & Chris Kobayashi-Reid presented the cheque to CCC Vice Chair Alan Lam on April 17. Let’s work together to keep our seniors safe during this COVID-19 pandemic.
